We are glad you want to know about us. Below you can meet our staff, find out what to expect on your visit, what we believe, and how you can join online.

Meet the Pastors

Pastor Todd and Arnetta Hastings

Todd & Arnetta have served as lead pastors since July 2017.  However, Todd grew up in Bethel, and they served previously as youth pastors from 1988-1991.

They were married in 1985, and have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.

Their passion is cooking and serving. They love few things more than sitting at their dining room table with friends and sharing life.

Pastor Matt and Michelle McNamara

Matt and Michelle moved to Quincy in the spring of 2021 to become the Associate Pastor at Bethel.

They were married in 2006, and have 3 children: Matthew, Max, and Molly. Matthew is an adult living in the Rockford area while continuing his education. Max and Molly are both attending schools here in Quincy.

This is the third church Matt and Michelle have served in. They previously served in Hartford, IL and Rockford, IL.

First time coming

When you show up on a Sunday morning for church you should find someone at the door to greet you. If you have an questions ask the greeter or head to our information desk. The nursery and preschool entrance is right inside our entrance with the car port. The kids are down that main hall and upstairs.

Every week will include a time of worship, prayer, a message from the Bible, and a chance to respond to what was said. Come dressed however you want. Most guys are in jeans and khaki pants. The ladies wear anything from jeans to dresses to pants. Walking into a new place can be intimidating, so dress comfortably.

What we believe

We are a part of the Assemblies of God. You can find our belief statements by clicking here.

  • More than a program or catch phrase, Each One Win One reflects God’s desire to see people come to him. We believe that reaching people is best done through personal relationships and empowered by prayer.

Who is God asking you to reach?

  • It’s more than having a focus on children’s and youth ministries.

The next generation also refers to those who are new to the faith. It is our vision that every new believer will be a disciple and a disciple maker.

Who are you leading closer to God?

  • 1 You are created in the image of God

    2 Sin broke you

    3 Jesus fixed you

    4 Holy Spirit restoes you
